Former After School member Nana fights off armed burglar at home with mother

South Korean actress and singer Nana was confronted with an attempted armed burglary at her Guri residence on Saturday, an incident that resulted in injuries to both her and her mother.
The man, described as being in his 30s, forcibly entered the home in Gyeonggi Province at around 6:00 am and threatened Nana and her mother with a knife while demanding money.
Trained in martial arts, Nana managed to subdue him with her mother’s assistance before contacting the police, who arrested the intruder shortly after arriving at the property.
According to reports, the Mask Girl star became engaged in a physical struggle with the perpetrator, sustaining minor injuries during the altercation. Her mother suffered more serious harm after the man’s physical assault left her unconscious. Following the arrest, both women were taken to the hospital for assessment and treatment.
Nana’s agency, SUBLIME, confirmed the severity of the situation in a statement issued to Maeil Kyungjae. "Early this morning, a robber armed with a weapon broke into Nana's residence. The robber entered the home with the weapon, creating a very dangerous situation where both Nana and her mother could have suffered serious harm." The agency added, "Due to the robber's physical assault, Nana's mother suffered serious injuries that left her unconscious, and Nana also suffered physical injuries while trying to escape the crisis. Both of them currently require treatment and absolute rest."
Specific details remain under investigation, but authorities confirmed that the intruder was taken down by two women inside a luxury villa in Acheon-dong, Guri-si.
Nana is known for her work as a former member of the K-pop girl group After School and its subunits, as well as roles in The Good Wife, Kill It, and other acclaimed productions.
