Disney Plus may let users create AI-powered videos, says Bob Iger
Disney CEO Bob Iger suggested that the future of Disney Plus may involve AI-powered video creation, offering viewers new ways to engage with the platform.
Speaking during an earnings call, Iger said the company is “really excited about AI” and sees opportunities to let subscribers both “create” and “consume” short-form AI videos.
“There’s phenomenal opportunities to deploy AI across our direct-to-consumer platforms, both to provide tools that make the platforms more dynamic and more sticky with consumers, but also to give consumers the opportunity to create on our platforms,” he explained.
Details on how this feature might work were not disclosed.
Iger also hinted at other potential expansions for Disney Plus, including game-like experiences through its partnership with Epic Games, as well as commerce opportunities tied to Disney parks, hotels, and cruises.
The comments come as Disney reported adding 1.5 million subscribers in the US and Canada during Q4 2025, bringing its North American total to 59.3 million. The company also recently increased subscription prices across its plans.
