Marvel Rivals is set to expand its arcade offerings as Season 5 introduces a new large-scale mode and a fresh battleground.

As part of the lead-up to the season’s launch, Creative Director Guangguang detailed the upcoming “18 V 18 Conquest (Annihilation)” mode in Volume 11 of the Marvel Rivals Dev Vision, confirming it will debut alongside the Grand Garden map on November 27.

The 18 V 18 mode will become the seventh arcade format available in the game, following Conquest, Doom Match, Free Fight, Clone Rumble, Giant Size Brain Blast and the existing 6v6 Conquest (Annihilation).

The current 6v6 version operates as a Deathmatch in which teams compete to reach 50 points, with final hits both scoring and restoring 200 HP to the player.

The larger mode is expected to function similarly, though with an increased score requirement and extended match times. More details are set to be released closer to launch.

The new Grand Garden map, also arriving on November 27, appears briefly in the Season 5 trailer, hinting at a landscaped arena designed for the expanded team format. A dedicated map trailer is anticipated before release.

Marvel Rivals continues to grow its roster and content offerings across seasons. Season 5 has also introduced giveaways targeted at students, including trial skins and MVPs obtainable through status verification, a move that has drawn mixed community reaction.

Some players praised the free additions, while others noted they already owned many of the items. Discussions also extended to cross-progression, character requests and speculation surrounding Gambit and Rogue, who were teased through low-opacity artwork in recent patch notes.

Marvel Rivals, developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, remains available for free on PC, PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox Series X|S. The new mode and map launch globally on November 27.
