Quetta private schools close temporarily until November 16
Mobile, internet services cut across Balochistan for second consecutive day

Quetta authorities have announced the temporary closure of several private schools until November 16, after a second consecutive day of internet and mobile network suspensions across the city and other parts of Balochistan.
The communication blackout was imposed as a precautionary measure after intelligence agencies flagged potential terrorist threats, officials from the Home Department confirmed.
Authorities said the suspension aims to safeguard the public and prevent untoward incidents.
Security has been significantly tightened in Quetta, with large deployments of police, Frontier Corps (FC), and other law enforcement personnel stationed across the city.
Strict inspections are being carried out at major entry and exit points, and the movement of vehicles and pedestrians is under close monitoring.
The continued suspension of internet and cellular services has disrupted daily life, affecting students, media workers, doctors, and business professionals.
In light of these challenges, private schools in Quetta have opted to remain closed temporarily until November 16 to ensure the safety of students and staff.
