NewJeans' Haerin and Hyein return to ADOR following court dismissal of contract nullification

The remaining three members, Hanni, Danielle and Minji's fate hangs in the balance while Haerin and Hyein return

ADOR, the HYBE subsidiary managing NewJeans announced on Wednesday that two out of five NewJeans members, namely Hyein and Haerin, have agreed to return to the agency in adherence to the recent court ruling regarding their contract.

In a statement released on social media, Ador said:

“NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue their activities with ADOR.

After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR,

the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and comply with their exclusive contracts.

ADOR will do its utmost to ensure that Haerin and Hyein can smoothly continue their entertainment activities.

We kindly ask fans for your warm support and respectfully request that you refrain from making unfounded speculations about the members.

Thank you.”

Previously on October 30, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favour of ADOR, confirming the validity of NewJeans' 7-year long exclusive contract signed in 2022, on the grounds that their reasons for terminating the agreement were unacceptable.

As for the other three members Hanni, Danielle and Minji, no statement has been released yet as fans anticipate further news about the future of the girl group.
