Hailey Bieber says she and Justin Bieber manage marriage and parenthood a day at a time

Hailey Bieber is opening up about the realities of balancing her marriage, motherhood, and career in the public eye. In a new interview with GQ, the 28-year-old model and entrepreneur discussed how she and her husband, pop star Justin Bieber, are learning to handle their high-profile relationship while raising their 15-month-old son, Jack Blues.

“We’re just taking it a day at a time,” Hailey shared, adding that she and Justin, 31, are “very protective” of their child and plan to navigate parenthood as situations arise. “Our life is our life and it is really public, so I think we’re just going to cross every bridge that we need to when we get there,” she said.

The Rhode founder expressed comfort with the balance they have found between maintaining privacy and sharing glimpses of their family life. “I feel really comfortable about the way we are sharing things and not sharing things,” she told the magazine.

Reflecting on motherhood, Hailey said no amount of advice could have fully prepared her for the experience. “There’s so much unknown to it, but you evolve in a totally different way that you would never be able to prepare for until you do it,” she explained.

Hailey also credited Justin for supporting her beauty brand, Rhode, noting that he has been an enthusiastic user of her products. “My husband uses Rhode, and has since the beginning, and loves it,” she said. “I have a lot of male friends that are obsessed with it too.”

In previous interviews, Hailey has been open about the support system that helps her manage her career and motherhood. During an appearance on the In Your Dreams with Owen Thiele podcast, she acknowledged having full-time childcare and said she was “not ashamed” to discuss it. “I wouldn’t be able to have my career and do the things that I do without the help,” she said.

Hailey emphasized that their son is always surrounded by loved ones, adding, “If he’s not with me, he’s with his dad… or with his godparents.”
