LAPD states no evidence of murder in ongoing D4vd and Celeste Rivas investigation
LAPD says there is no indication of murder in the case, only possible body concealment

The Los Angeles Police Department has stated that there is no evidence suggesting murder in the ongoing investigation involving musician D4vd and the death of teenager Celeste Rivas.
Authorities found Rivas’ body in the boot of a Tesla registered to the artist, leading to widespread speculation online about their alleged relationship and possible foul play.
According to KTLA, the LAPD reaffirmed in a statement on that the only crime identified so far is the concealment of Rivas’ body.
“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death. As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body. RHD is thoroughly examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family,” the department said.
At present, no suspects have been named, and neither D4vd nor any other individual has been charged. KTLA’s legal analyst Alison Triessl explained that concealing an accidental death is a misdemeanour in California, punishable by up to one year in county jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
However, she noted that this only applies if there was an active attempt to hide the body, as failing to report an accidental death is not considered a crime.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that it has not received any case submission related to the matter. As the investigation continues, the public awaits the results of Rivas’ autopsy, which could provide more clarity about the circumstances surrounding her death.
