Courts jail two hashish suppliers

Two local courts have sentenced two drug suppliers to nine years' imprisonment each, a Rawalpindi police spokesperson said on Friday.

He stated that accused Muhammad Shahbaz was sentenced to nine years in jail and fined Rs80,000. He had been arrested in July 2025 by Saddar Beruni police after 1.63 kilogrammes of hashish was recovered from him.

Another convict, Fazal Rabi, was also sentenced to nine years in jail and fined Rs80,000. He had been taken into custody in January 2025 by Taxila Police following the recovery of 1.54 kilogrammes of hashish.
