DSP accused of killing wife, hiding daughter
.

A new twist has emerged in the mysterious disappearance of DSP Muhammad Usman Haider Gujjar's wife and daughter, after a written application submitted to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz accused the police officer of domestic abuse, murder and threats to silence the victim's family.
According to the complaint filed by Tehmina Shoukat, sister of the missing woman Samia, DSP Usman Haider "subjected his wife and daughter to severe physical and psychological torture" before their disappearance.
She alleged that the officer "killed his wife" and has "either hidden or forcibly confined" his daughter.
Tehmina claimed that despite repeated appeals to senior police officials, no action had been taken. "I have knocked on every door for justice, but no one is willing to act against a serving police officer," she wrote in her application to the Chief Minister.
She further alleged that the DSP and the Station House Officer (SHO) of Barki Police Station had threatened her to stay silent. "They warned me of a fake encounter if I continued to pursue the case," the letter read.
She urged the Chief Minister to intervene personally to ensure justice and the recovery of her missing relatives.
Earlier, DSP Haider, currently posted with the Kahna Investigation Wing, had registered an FIR on October 18 at Barki Police Station under Section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code, claiming his wife Samia and daughter went missing.
In his FIR, the officer stated that upon returning home on September 27, he found the house locked and was unable to reach his wife and daughter as their mobile phones were switched off. He suggested they may have left home without informing him.
