SZA clarifies stance on Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud

SZA explains she stayed out of Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud, calling it a dispute between 'two grown men'

Singer SZA has spoken out about her stance on the widely discussed feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, saying she had “no stake” in the dispute and chose to remain uninvolved.

In a recent interview with GQ, SZA explained that the conflict was “between two grown-ass men” and not something she felt the need to comment on or participate in. “Obviously, I love Kendrick — I’m signed to TDE, that’s my family. And I’ve known Drake for so long; we have a beautiful rapport,” she said, adding that she viewed the situation as “unfortunate.”

Addressing fan speculation over her decision to continue performing “Rich Baby Daddy” on her Grand National Tour, SZA said it never occurred to her to remove the song. “‘Poetic Justice’ was in the set list, so why wouldn’t I keep ‘Rich Baby Daddy’? I don’t know why I wouldn’t celebrate something that I ate up,” she explained.

SZA emphasized that she maintains mutual respect and affection for both artists, choosing instead to stay focused on her music rather than engage in public disputes. Her neutral stance has been widely seen as a mature response amid a feud that divided much of the hip-hop community.
