Pindi to launch e-challan system from Jan 1

RAWALPINDI:

Work under the Safe City Project in Rawalpindi has entered its final phase, with installation of high-range closed-circuit cameras at various locations to monitor vehicle movement and record traffic violations. The e-challan system will formally start from January 1, 2026.

In the first phase, cameras have been installed at 20 important intersections and routes including COD Chowk, Fauji Foundation, Liaquat Bagh, Raja Bazaar, Chandni Chowk, Commercial Market, Ali Chowhan Chowk, Ayub Park, Jinnah Park, Chaklala Railway Station, Gulzar-e-Quaid, Faizabad Metro Station, Pir Wadhai Mor, Saddar Bank Road, Qasim Market, 22 Number Bakra Mandi, Kacheri Chowk, Rawal Road, Committee Chowk, Tench Bhatta and Chakri Road.
