2 hotels penalised for hygiene
The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) imposed Rs150,000 worth of fine on two hotels over violations in Mian Channu.
During inspection, PFA teams visited several hotels, restaurants, sweet shops and fast-food outlets in Mian Channu city, Kacha Khoh Highway and GT Road. According to sources, the two well-known hotels were fined Rs75,000 each for serious hygiene violations.
The teams discovered the use of substandard ingredients in food preparation and the presence of insect-infested milk in freezers. Additionally, expired and leftover food items were found stored in unhygienic conditions, and kitchen cleanliness was found to be below the required standards.
