Kris Jenner confirms facelift before 70th birthday, says procedure made her “happy”

Kris Jenner has revealed she underwent a second facelift ahead of her 70th birthday, explaining that the decision was part of her desire to feel like “the best version” of herself.

The reality star and businesswoman, who turned 70 on November 5, first sparked attention earlier this year when she appeared with a noticeably refreshed look at Lauren Sánchez’s bachelorette party.

PEOPLE later confirmed that Jenner’s cosmetic procedure was performed by New York-based plastic surgeon Dr Steven Levine.

Dr Levine, who operates a private practice on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is known for performing “natural-looking enhancements of the face, breasts, and body.” His clinic specialises in various facial rejuvenation procedures, including both full and short-scar facelifts.

Jenner had her first facelift in 2011, a process documented on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. At the time, she worked with Dr Garth Fisher, the same surgeon her daughter Kylie Jenner later confirmed had performed her breast augmentation.

Speaking to Vogue Arabia in August, Jenner said her latest procedure was motivated by a desire for self-improvement. “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she said. “I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.”

The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch also discussed her views on ageing. “Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,” she said.

“If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is ageing gracefully. It’s my version.”

Following the viral reaction to her new look, Jenner collaborated with her son Rob Kardashian to release a limited-edition T-shirt reading, “I’ll have what Kris Jenner is having,” through his clothing brand Arthur George.
