Transporters rescued 43 days after abduction

Aamir and Shahzaib freed during raid in Balochistan; kidnappers demanded Rs3b ransom

The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), in collaboration with the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), has recovered two kidnapped youths from Balochistan after a coordinated operation based on technical intelligence and human sources.

The recovered abductees were identified as Aamir, son of Haji Aurangzeb, and his friend Shahzaib, son of Inayatullah. Both young men, who are transporters by profession, were kidnapped along with their Vigo vehicle from near Garden Zoo on September 23-43 days ago.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, SSP AVCC Asif Raza Baloch said that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs3 billion for the release of the abductees. He stated that the case had initially been registered at Garden police station before being transferred to the AVCC for further investigation.

Subsequently, SSP Asif Raza Baloch formed a special team under his direct supervision. The team, acting on intelligence leads, conducted a targeted raid in Balochistan and recovered both abductees along with their vehicle. The SSP informed that the kidnappers involved in the abduction are currently absconding and that police teams are pursuing them in Balochistan.

According to AVCC officials, following the recovery, the abductees and the complainant of the case expressed heartfelt gratitude to SSP AVCC Asif Raza Baloch and his team for their timely and dedicated efforts in ensuring the safe rescue of the victims.
