Billionaires and their doomsday bunkers
.

They say entrepreneurship is all about finding a problem and creating a solution for it. And then selling that solution. And many people have become billionaires by doing just that. Disruptive innovation is sort of the go-to phrase of every aspiring enterpreneur.
What many may not be paying attention to is that a shift was made somewhere during the years when young people became billionaires in the dotcom era. It is no longer so much as to find the problem and offer a solution for it, but rather to hide the problem from the people.
Some of the most hated men who became super rich include Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Microsoft's Bill Gates, Facebook's Zuckerberg and the biggest fraud of all namely Elon Musk. They and many like them know full well that the damage they have done to the world by becoming these monsters who suck up resources are going to leave many people hungry, angry, mentally sick and dependent on the world they have created. They are less free and they have less democracy and far less free speech than the claims these super rich liars are making. The rising number of billionaires has a simple meaning; the rising number of hungry people and the dwindling middle class. This will eventually lead to a situation where the people would have no option left but to run wild and burn these billionaires and their worlds to the ground.
It is for this precise reason that these billionaires are building secret underground bunkers in order to escape the very people they claim to serve today. There are things they know and understand better than the rest of us, which compel them to build these underground mansions, which would be protected from incursions by the general masses. One of their favourite places to build these underground bunkers is New Zealand.
Zuckerberg claims to be connecting people and allowing them an online space to communicate and make friends. Musk claims to be making electric cars for reducing carbon emissions and to have created SpaceX in order to eventually make humanity a multiplanetary species. Nothing can be further from the truth though. All of this is done for money. Money, which will continue to buy them political influence through lobbying and campaign finance, which will allow them to create policies that will benefit their business. And the cycle goes on.
The urge for venturing into space is also about finding another planet to where these super rich can escape in case the earth falls apart from an asteroid collision or a planetwide civil war situation breaking out, or a nuclear war, or the ravages of climate change, the threat posed by Artificial Intelligence and so forth. They know that the world coming to a halt is not a distant reality or a difficult possibility. It can very much happen due to a variety of tools and factors, most of which, by the way, are created and put in place by these very rich douchebags. And the one thing they are afraid of are the general masses who use their services and willingly offer themselves to be sold to others as products or as Douglas Russkoff says in his book, Survival Of The Richest, the people are actually the labour doing all the work making these rich people super rich.
What these super rich selfish ignorant people do not realise is that when the world has fallen apart, and their money becomes worthless, then the people who would have the job of keeping them secure would lose the incentive to continue to provide that security because the money as fake as it is would stop its power because the people would stop believing in it. The only hope the rich have is to treat their people right today and they may remember that and decide to help these rich rascals when that extreme situation does actually arrive. At least this is the advice Rushkoff gave the billionaires.
