Cambridge has announced the winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards with 83 Pakistani students winning ‘Top in the World’ awards — including 26 from Sindh and Balochistan — in recognition of their exceptional academic performance in the June 2025 examination series.
During a ceremony held in Karachi on Wednesday, Cambridge Examination Board released details of students who showed outstanding performance in cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level examinations.
Nationwide, 317 Pakistani students earned 355 awards, including 83 Top in the World, 63 Top in Country, and 11 High Achievement Awards, recognising excellence across a broad range of subjects.
More than 106 learners from Sindh and Balochistan will receive 120 awards for outstanding achievement in Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level examinations. Among them, 26 students achieved the highest marks in the world, while 53 secured the top marks in Sindh and Balochistan in individual subjects.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are part of a global programme celebrating learners from over 40 countries. Cambridge said, its qualifications are designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel at university and beyond, and are recognised by leading universities worldwide.
Country Director for International Education at Cambridge Pakistan, Uzma Yousuf said, “Every year, we are inspired by the dedication, resilience, and talent of our learners across Pakistan. These outstanding results are a reflection not only of their hard work, but also of the unwavering support from their teachers, schools, and families.
She further said that as the world continues to evolve — driven by innovation, technology, and new ways of learning — these learners stand as proof that strong educational foundations build the confidence and adaptability needed for the future. “We are immensely proud of their achievements and of the role our schools play in nurturing globally minded, future-ready learners,” she added.
The awards also honoured students who bagged High Achievement Awards in less common subjects and those with the highest cumulative marks across multiple subjects. Cambridge noted that these students outperformed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat for the same examinations.
