Preparations: Mini-marathon in Haripur on Sept 25
with over 300 athletes having confirmed their participation

Brisk arrangements for the 22-kilometre National Mini-Marathon scheduled on September 25 continue to take place in Haripur, with over 300 athletes having confirmed their participation. This was stated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Athletic Association Secretary Bahre Karam on Wednesday.
Flanked by the Director of the Meet, Khan Bahadur, a former international athlete and secretary of the Haripur District Athletic Association, Karam said this was the first occasion when K-P was holding the marathon.
He said the marathon is open to athletes from all provinces in the marathon and all preparations have been completed. He said all appropriate measures have been taken for holding the marathon and the event aims aims to show a soft image of Pakistan.
He also praised K-P Athletics Association President Muhammad Shujah Khan for his efforts in holding the event.
He said Khan will formally open the event on September 25.
