Queen guitarist Brian May reunited with American singer-songwriter Benson Boone at London’s O2 Arena for a surprise performance of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and Boone’s hit ‘Beautiful Things’. The collaboration marked their first joint appearance since Coachella 2025.
During the encore of Boone’s sold-out London show on November 4, he began performing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at the piano before May appeared onstage to cheers from the crowd. The audience erupted as May launched into his signature solo.
Following the performance, Boone remarked, “Now that is how a crowd should sound when they see Brian May,” referencing the muted response May received from Coachella attendees earlier this year.
The duo then performed ‘Beautiful Things’, featuring another guitar solo from May. After the concert, Boone shared a TikTok clip with May recreating the viral ‘What’s Up’ and ‘Beez In The Trap’ mash-up trend. In the video, Boone lip-syncs to 4 Non Blondes’ ‘What’s Up’ while May performs Nicki Minaj’s rap verse, captioned “Guess who’s back.”
May and Boone first collaborated at Coachella 2025, where the Queen guitarist’s appearance was met with a mixed reaction. Boone later defended May’s influence, calling him “an absolute legend” in a TikTok post.
Meanwhile, Queen were recently named the UK’s most-played rock act of the 21st century. Brian May also confirmed that the band had recorded new material with Adam Lambert, though he noted that “nothing really materialised so far.” The guitarist also hinted that Queen may bring their live show to The Sphere in Las Vegas.
