A police constable was critically injured after being crushed under a truck while saving a rickshaw driver at Shahdara flyover.
According to a police spokesperson, the incident occurred when a truck's brakes failed while ascending the flyover. Constable Hamid, who was stationed at a checkpoint nearby, noticed the truck rolling backward toward a rickshaw.
In an act of bravery, Hamid rushed to push the rickshaw driver out of harm's way. However, the truck ran over him, severely injuring both his legs.
