Mob Justice: Robber killed, other injured by crowd

One robber was killed, while another sustained multiple injures when an infuriated mob attacked them after they broke into a shop on Wednesday. According to police, the robbers were severely thrashed following a robbery attempt in which one shopkeeper was wounded by the dacoits on producing resistance. Two armed bandits dacoits forced their entry into the shop of one Muhammad Sarwar located near Sadhar Bypass, the police said. When the shopkeeper raised alarm, a large number of other shopkeepers and passersby assembled at the shop and beat up the robbers with bricks and hockey sticks. One of the robbers died during the assault and another was critically injured. Police officials dispersed the crowd by resorting to aerial firing. The injured robber is in the hospital and police officials have registered a case.
