The third and final phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as the Canton Fair, commenced on October 31 in Guangzhou with a contingent of 19 Pakistani exhibitors organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
This phase is themed "Better Life" and showcases products aimed at enhancing modern living. Pakistani companies have effectively tapped into this theme by presenting export-quality goods including home textiles, sports goods, leather products and surgical instruments. Muhammad Imran, Trade and Investment Counsellor of Pakistan in Guangzhou, highlighted the event's strategic importance. "The Canton Fair provides an unparalleled opportunity for our exporters to connect with the international market," he stated. The fair, running from October 15 to November 4, is structured in three phases. The current phase features over 12,000 exhibitors.
