Milly Alcock signs pro-Palestine film pledge opposing Israeli institutions
Supergirl star Milly Alcock joins pro-Palestine film pledge urging artists to boycott Israeli institutions

Supergirl star Milly Alcock has reportedly joined the Film Workers Pledge for Palestine, a global initiative urging film professionals to avoid working with Israeli film institutions accused of being “implicated in genocide and apartheid” against Palestinians.
The pledge, launched on September 8, 2025, calls for members of the film industry to reject partnerships with Israeli festivals, broadcasters, and production companies linked to what organizers describe as systemic oppression of Palestinians. It emphasizes that the boycott targets institutional complicity, not individuals, and encourages signatories to seek guidance from Palestinian civil society when choosing projects.
Alcock’s reported participation follows earlier news of Superman actor David Corenswet joining the same pledge. The campaign has gained thousands of supporters worldwide, including prominent actors such as Mark Ruffalo, Javier Bardem, and Ayo Edebiri, as awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to grow.
Organizers cite findings from the International Court of Justice and Amnesty International, which have described Israel’s treatment of Palestinians as constituting apartheid and genocide. The movement is inspired by earlier cultural boycotts, including those against South Africa during its apartheid era.
