Traffic diversion plan issued for Karachi ahead of PIMEC 2025
Heavy traffic from Millennium Mall towards the Stadium via Dalmia Road will not be allowed

Karachi Traffic Police have issued a comprehensive traffic management plan for the Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC-2025), which will be held from November 3 to 6 at the Expo Centre. Citizens, including owners of public, private and commercial vehicles, have been advised to follow the announced guidelines to avoid inconvenience.
According to the plan, heavy and commercial vehicles coming from Karsaz and Nursery towards the Stadium via Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road will not be permitted. Traffic from Karsaz and Shahrae Faisal will be diverted towards Rashid Minhas Road, passing through Millennium Mall and onward to Nipa. Similarly, vehicles arriving from the airport may take the Shahrae Faisal-Rashid Minhas-Millennium-Nipa route.
Heavy traffic from Millennium Mall towards the Stadium via Dalmia Road will not be allowed.
Traffic from Nipa to Hassan Square will face restrictions, and may instead use Gulshan Chowrangi-Sohrab Goth or take a left from Nipa towards Rashid Minhas Road to reach Drigh Road and Sharae Faisal.
The plan further states that heavy and commercial vehicles coming from inner roads towards Stadium Road or University Road will be diverted to Shaheed-e-Millat Road near Baloch Colony Flyover.
Heavy vehicles from Liaquatabad No10 will also not be permitted to proceed towards Hassan Square and will instead be directed towards Shahrah-e-Pakistan, Karimabad and Sohrab Goth. Moreover, the exit from University Road from the Expo Centre turning towards the Stadium Road will remain closed for all categories of traffic.
However, traffic police have confirmed that the Hassan Square Flyover leading to National Stadium, and the return route, will remain open for light and private vehicles.
