ISLAMABAD:

Under its Cultural Diplomacy Initiative, Serena Hotels hosted a vibrant two-day Crafts Festival in collaboration with Nomad Art Gallery, marking over four decades of Nomad's remarkable journey in promoting art, culture, and the empowerment of indigenous artisans across Pakistan.

The festival brought together skilled craftspeople and artists from various regions of the country, offering them a platform to exhibit their traditional crafts - including hand-embroidered textiles, jewellery, pottery, home décor, paintings, and other handmade creations that reflect the depth and diversity of Pakistan's cultural heritage.

A key focus of the event was women's empowerment, showcasing the exceptional work of female artisans who continue to preserve centuries-old techniques while sustaining their families and communities through their craftsmanship.

Speaking on the occasion, Nageen Hyat, Founder and Director of Nomad Art Gallery, remarked: "Nomad has always believed in the transformative power of art and culture to uplift communities, particularly women artisans. This collaboration with Serena Hotels enables us to celebrate their resilience, creativity, and the rich cultural legacy they embody."

Through its Cultural Diplomacy Initiative, Serena Hotels continues to champion cultural diversity and creative expression by providing platforms that celebrate Pakistan's artisans and safeguard traditional craftsmanship. The initiative reflects Serena Hotels' enduring commitment to social responsibility, inclusivity, and heritage preservation, fostering meaningful connections among communities through the shared language of art and culture.
