Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the crime rate in the province has significantly decreased, leading to restoration of peace in cities and villages

She said during a meeting with members of the National and Punjab Assemblies along with election candidates of PML-N from Sahiwal division that public service, rapid development and transparent governance are major priorities in the party agenda.

She highlighted that improvement of public transport and roads in districts is not just linked to infrastructure development but a source of employment and prosperity for the people living in surrounding areas. She said the Suthra Punjab cleanliness programme is the start of a new culture in the province.
