Ariana Grande is officially returning to the horror genre.
The pop icon has joined the cast of American Horror Story season 13, reuniting with series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk nearly a decade after their short-lived hit Scream Queens.
The announcement came through the official Ryan Murphy Productions Instagram page, which unveiled the cast lineup in a teaser video featuring the show’s signature font and Vera Lynn’s haunting “I’ll Be Seeing You.”
Grande will appear alongside several American Horror Story veterans, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. Roberts and Lourd previously co-starred with Grande in Scream Queens, marking a nostalgic reunion for fans of Murphy’s twisted worlds.
Jessica Lange’s inclusion is especially notable—her last AHS appearance was in 2018’s Apocalypse. Bassett, Bates, and Sidibe also return after years away from the anthology series, while Peters and Paulson last appeared in 2021’s Double Feature.
The reunion of so many fan favorites has sparked speculation that season 13 could revisit earlier AHS storylines, particularly 2013’s Coven. The show previously revisited its interconnected universe in Apocalypse, a crossover blending Coven, Murder House, and Hotel.
Season 12, titled Delicate, aired from September 2023 to April 2024 and featured Kim Kardashian, Emma Roberts, Cara Delevingne, and Denis O’Hare. Produced by 20th Television, American Horror Story continues to be one of FX’s most enduring franchises, with season 13 promising one of its most star-studded casts yet.
