Nicki Minaj has voiced her support for US President Donald Trump’s recent comments on Christian persecution, calling for global respect for religious freedom.
The rapper shared her thoughts on Twitter after reading Trump’s Truth Social post about Christians in Nigeria.
In his post, Trump claimed that Christians in Nigeria are being attacked by “radical Islamists” for their faith. Minaj, known for her outspoken political opinions, responded with a message emphasising unity and compassion across all religions.
“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude,” Nicki Minaj wrote. “We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practising their religion".
Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.
No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.

Sending love to our Muslim Barbz.
Every single one of us should be able to worship in peace. https://t.co/F25K2V6r8qHer remarks have drawn mixed reactions online, with some fans surprised given her past criticism of Trump’s immigration policies. However, others have praised her for promoting religious tolerance.
Minaj also made headlines for a light-hearted reason this week after mentioning Trump’s granddaughter Kai, who recently joined a TikTok trend using Minaj’s hit Beez In The Trap.
