Load management: Gas closure for CNG stations

The supply of gas to 350 CNG stations of the Faisalabad district will remain suspended from Thursday morning.

FAISALABAD:
The supply of gas to 350 CNG stations of the Faisalabad district will remain suspended from Thursday morning to Saturday evening, a spokesman for the CNG Stations’ Owners Association said on Wednesday. He said the gas suspension would begin at 6:00 am on September 22 and would last until 6:00 pm on September 24. Commenting on the gas suspension for more than two days, he said it was a ‘conspiracy’ of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to damage the business of CNG stations in the district. “How can CNG businesses survive if they don’t get gas for more than two days in a week?” He asked the government to review the gas load management schedule and exempt CNG stations from frequent gas suspension. He said the policies of SNGPL were also affecting the business of transporters.
