Offset faces $2.3M tax debt amid Cardi B divorce and spousal support dispute

Offset, the Atlanta-born rapper best known for his work with Migos, is reportedly facing over $2.3 million in unpaid taxes while navigating his ongoing divorce from Cardi B.

According to Complex (via Sportskeeda, November 1, 2025), federal and state authorities have filed multiple tax liens against Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus. The Internal Revenue Service allegedly issued two federal liens—one totaling $486,426 for 2023 and another for $1.57 million for 2022. In addition, the Georgia Department of Revenue reportedly filed a claim in March 2025 for $266,702 related to unpaid 2021 income taxes.

The total balance of these filings brings Offset’s reported tax debt to more than $2.3 million. The financial issues coincide with the release of his new solo album, Haunted By Fame, which dropped on October 31, 2025, featuring collaborations with artists including NBA YoungBoy, Lil Dump, and NoCap.

The rapper’s financial challenges appear to be compounded by his ongoing divorce from Cardi B, who filed to dissolve their marriage earlier in 2025. The couple married in 2017 and share three children. In February, Offset requested joint custody and spousal support, while Cardi later accused him during a social media session of attempting to “drain her financially.”

Despite recent speculation about a possible settlement, neither party has confirmed details of their divorce proceedings.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Offset’s estimated net worth stands at around $40 million. His earnings stem from his time with Migos—whose 2017 hit “Bad and Boujee” topped the Billboard Hot 100—as well as his solo projects, fashion collaborations, and investments, including in the esports group FaZe Clan.

Offset’s career has faced legal and financial turbulence before, but his music and business ventures have continued to sustain his overall wealth.
