1,558 test positive for dengue in a day

The Sindh Health Department has issued a new report regarding confirmed dengue cases across the province. According to the report, a total of 5,742 dengue tests were conducted during the past 24 hours province-wide, out of which 1,558 tested positive.

As per official statistics, 4,010 tests were conducted in Karachi Division where 758 cases were confirmed, while 1,732 tests were conducted in Hyderabad Division with 800 cases reported.

During the last 24 hours, 81 new dengue patients were admitted to government hospitals and 68 new patients were admitted to private hospitals across the province.

Meanwhile, 58 patients in government hospitals and 25 in private hospitals recovered and were discharged. Two deaths were reported from government hospitals in the past 24 hours.

Currently, 201 dengue patients are admitted in government hospitals and 180 patients are under treatment in private hospitals throughout the province.
