UCs delimitation finalised

RAWALPINDI:

The District Election Commission, Rawalpindi, has concluded the process of new delimitations for Union Councils (UCs) following the enforcement of the Local Government Act 2025.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has instructed the Punjab government and the Revenue Department to finalise maps of all tehsils, towns, and municipal committees across the province within 30 days, in accordance with the provisions of the new Act.

The Revenue Department has been directed to complete the demarcation of boundaries for all tehsils, towns, and municipal committees - including those within the Rawalpindi Division - by November 25.

Subsequently, the electoral watchdog will carry out the delimitation of UCs between December 1 and December 31.
