Child abuse video sparks police action
.

In the Gujar Khan area of Rawalpindi, a video showing a school teacher brutally beating a child has gone viral on social media, prompting police action. The accused teacher has been taken into custody. Authorities say the incident occurred nearly a year ago.
According to police, the video shows a private school in the Gujar Khan jurisdiction where a person holding a stick is repeatedly striking a small child. Meanwhile, three to four others are holding the child upside down by his hands and legs. The stick-wielding individual, identified as a teacher and relative of the child, can be seen hitting the child on his hips, back and legs. The child's screams and cries for mercy are audible in the video.
In the footage, the child is repeatedly beaten until he sits on the ground, after which the teacher continues to strike him with the stick while the child promises not to repeat the behaviour.
Police officials stated that, although the incident occurred almost a year ago, they contacted the child's father. He reportedly mentioned that the child had been caught smoking and asked the teacher to discipline him. However, the teacher was placed in custody and legal proceedings are underway.
