KARACHI:

Pakistan has closed its airspace adjoining India for two days - October 28 and 29 - from 6am to 9am, according to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) on Monday.

The restriction applies to several routes within the Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions bordering Indian airspace. The PCAA has notified all airlines and aviation operators, advising caution during the restricted period.

Sources said the decision was taken in view of Indian military exercises reportedly being conducted near the Pakistan border.
