RAWALPINDI:

A young man from Rawalpindi allegedly fell victim to a shocking crime after befriending a police official from Multan on TikTok.

The policeman allegedly drugged him, sexually assaulted him, recorded an obscene video, and then blackmailed him for months, extorting thousands of rupees.

According to the complaint lodged at the New Town Police Station, the victim, who works in a private company in Rawalpindi, said that a jail constable posted at Multan Central Jail, persistently sought friendship on TikTok, sharing details of his personal life and divorce.

"He told me he liked me and wanted to be friends," the complainant stated.

For six months, the official repeatedly contacted him and invited him to Multan.

After a period of silence, the constable resumed contact via WhatsApp and later called him, saying he was arranging a two-month posting to Adiala Jail just to meet him. When questioned, the officer replied, "I've fallen for you."

The constable later asked for Rs5,000 via Easypaisa, claiming financial difficulties, and then demanded more money.

The victim said he sent him Rs10,000 in total out of sympathy. In June, after constant insistence, the officer came to meet him near his house. They had lunch at Commercial Market and later went to Islamabad.

As it grew late, the officer suggested staying at a hotel in Faizabad, saying he couldn't return to Adiala Jail.

The victim, exhausted after two sleepless nights, agreed. "When I woke up, he was gone. He later returned with a burger. After eating it, I lost consciousness," the complainant said.

The constable allegedly assaulted him, recorded the act on video, and continued to blackmail him, extorting a total of Rs65,000. "I want justice and the video deleted," he pleaded. Police said a case has been registered and an investigation launched. The incident reportedly occurred around four months ago, and facts will be clarified after inquiry, officials added.
