Only Murders in the Building is reportedly heading to London for its next season, marking a major shift for Hulu’s hit murder mystery comedy.
Following the trio’s adventures in California during season 4, the show’s beloved detectives—Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez)—may soon take their podcasting and sleuthing across the Atlantic.
According to Deadline, season 6 is expected to feature an international setting for the first time in the show’s history. Although Hulu has yet to officially renew the series, insiders say the renewal is all but guaranteed thanks to its continued popularity and critical acclaim. The potential move to London may even be teased in the season 5 finale, which airs October 28 on Hulu.
The fifth season centers on the murder of The Arconia’s cherished doorman, Lester, drawing the main trio into a tangled web involving an underground casino and mafia connections. Season 5 also features an impressive lineup of guest stars, including Bobby Cannavale, Téa Leoni, Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Logan Lerman, and Keegan-Michael Key, alongside returning favorites Meryl Streep, Nathan Lane, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
If the London setting is confirmed, it would bring a fresh dynamic to the series while keeping its signature charm and humor intact. Fans are already speculating about the next victim and whether the crime will unfold in a grand British estate reminiscent of The Arconia’s classic architecture.
Created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, Only Murders in the Building remains one of Hulu’s biggest hits—and a London-set season could make its mystery even more captivating.
