Actor and musician Jamie Foxx stepped in to defend rapper GloRilla after an audience member allegedly threw an object at her during a live performance at his daughter’s birthday celebration. The incident occurred at SKVLK FEST, an annual Halloween-themed event hosted by Foxx’s teenage daughter, Anelise, at the family’s property in Thousand Oaks, California.
According to viral videos shared on social media, GloRilla had just taken the stage when someone in the crowd reportedly tossed a bottle in her direction. Although the object did not hit the rapper, the act prompted an immediate and heated response from both performers.
Foxx, visibly upset, grabbed the microphone to confront the audience. “Who did it? Why would you do some s**t like that?” he shouted, condemning the behavior as disrespectful and unnecessary. “This is for free,” he added, emphasizing that GloRilla was performing out of goodwill at his private event.
GloRilla also addressed the situation directly, warning the audience member that such actions would not be tolerated. “I don’t care how young you is, you gon’ get yo ass beat for throwing something at me on this stage,” she said, according to footage from the event.
The “Tomorrow” rapper continued her set after the confrontation, while Foxx ensured the situation did not escalate further. The incident drew comparisons to a similar episode last year when Foxx himself was struck in the mouth by a glass thrown during his own birthday celebration — an experience he referenced while chastising the audience.
Foxx later posted about the event on social media, though he did not mention the altercation. The videos from SKVLK FEST 2025 have since sparked widespread discussion about safety and respect at private and public performances.
