DIJKOT:

The Pakistan and South Africa cricket teams will arrive here on November 2 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches from November 4.

The last ODI at Faisalabad's Iqbal Stadium was played in 2008 between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

International matches are now set to be held in the city after 17 years.

A practice session will take place at the stadium on November 3. The ODIs will be played on November 4, 6 and 8.

The district administration, Pakistan Cricket Board, and police have completed the preparations, under which CCTV cameras and Safe City Authority surveillance systems will be used to monitor the event.

The Iqbal Stadium has a capacity of approximately 17,000 fans.

After parking their vehicles, spectators will be transported to the stadium via electric shuttle buses provided by the Punjab government. After security clearance and ticket verification, the fans will be taken to the stadium free of charge.

Authorities have installed barbed wire over the stadium fencing to stop spectators from attempting to jump into the ground.

Rangers and army personnel will be deployed outside the players' dressing rooms, while Elite Force, district and women police officers will also perform duties.
