Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso announce engagement after surprise proposal at private party

Camila Mendes and Rudy Mancuso are officially engaged after the musician and YouTube star proposed to the Riverdale actress during a surprise party on October 24.

A representative for Mendes confirmed the engagement, revealing that the event had been planned as a secret celebration with close friends and family. Mendes also posted photos of the  proposal on Instagram, captioned," engaged to my best friend" 

“She thought she was going to a birthday party for producing partner Rachel Matthews, but it was a surprise engagement party instead,” a source told PEOPLE. “Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends.”

Following the proposal, the couple continued the celebrations at actor Glen Powell’s tracksuit and tequila-themed birthday party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Mendes and Mancuso arrived hand in hand, smiling and relaxed, as onlookers caught a glimpse of her engagement ring — a large diamond set on a silver band. Mancuso was seen kissing his fiancée on the cheek as they entered the venue.

The couple met on the set of their 2024 romantic comedy Música, where they quickly formed a connection. 

Their relationship became public in February 2023 when Mendes posted a photo on Instagram captioned, “Meu valentine. te amo so much.” 

The engagement marks a new milestone for the couple, who continue to balance their acting and music careers while celebrating their shared success in both love and life.
