Karachi University conducts admission test for 2026 morning programme

KARACHI:

Another batch of thousands of young people full of hopes and dreams appeared for the admission test for the city's biggest centre for learning.

The University of Karachi on Saturday successfully held its admission test for the 2026 morning programme across 20 departments at 11am across 22 examination centers set up within the university.

A total of 7,769 admission forms were submitted for 1,347 available seats, and 7,536 candidates appeared for the test. Results will be uploaded on the university's website and candidate portals by October 28, 2025.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, accompanied by Registrar Professor Dr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, KU Assessment and Testing Service (KUATS) member Professor Dr. Aneela Amber Malik, Director of Admissions Professor Dr. Saima Akhtar, and other senior faculty and administrative officials, visited various exam centers and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.

To facilitate students and their families, shuttle buses were stationed at all entry gates to transport candidates to and from exam centers. Help desks were set up at key locations, and Watch & Ward staff were deployed around entrances and faculty buildings. Medical officers, along with ambulance support, were also present on-site.

The Vice Chancellor praised the efforts of faculty, administrative staff, and security personnel for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the admission test.
