Twitch has issued a 30-day ban to artist and streamer Chierri after she sold 3D-printed prop knives at TwitchCon 2025, prompting complaints from attendees.

The incident occurred during the TwitchCon Block Party, held from October 17 to 19, and quickly gained attention online after footage of Chierri’s booth circulated on social media.

One streamer who attended the event claimed the knives could have been “literally grabbed and walked out with,” raising concerns about venue safety. She reported the booth to event security shortly after noticing the display.

Following the backlash, Chierri addressed the situation on October 24, explaining that the items were non-functional props inspired by video games and had been intentionally dulled to prevent injury. She said she was unaware of any rule violations during the event until receiving a notice of suspension.

“I understand how my props might still raise safety concerns under Twitch’s Event Code of Conduct,” she wrote. “I take full responsibility and sincerely apologise to Twitch, attendees, and anyone affected.”

Chierri added that she had not received prior warnings from TwitchCon staff and would have removed the items immediately if notified. Her appeal against the 30-day suspension was denied, preventing her from streaming until mid-November.

Reactions to the ban have been largely sympathetic. Several community members expressed frustration at the lack of communication, with one comment stating: “You’ve been doing this for years, and all of a sudden they ban you for this without any comms or warning.”

Twitch later released a statement acknowledging multiple incidents at TwitchCon 2025, confirming that it will review its event security and safety protocols before future conventions.
