The announcement coincides with the upcoming release of the group’s sixth studio album, EVERYONE’S A STAR!, set to drop on November 14 under Republic Records. “Telephone Busy” follows previous singles “NOT OK” and “Boyband,” both of which have been praised by fans for their energetic return to the band’s pop-punk roots. The official music video for “NOT OK”, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, was released earlier this month.
The four-member group—Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin—recently celebrated the start of their new era with a surprise pop-up show in Los Angeles, where thousands of fans gathered along Sunset Boulevard. The performance featured a mix of new songs and classic hits like “Youngblood” and “She Looks So Perfect.”
Since forming in Sydney, Australia, in 2011, 5 Seconds of Summer have become one of the most successful modern rock bands, selling over 18 million albums, earning 10 billion global streams, and achieving three Billboard 200 No. 1 debuts. With EVERYONE’S A STAR!, the band continues to evolve its sound while celebrating more than a decade of success.
