Daily library sessions to be introduced in Hyd region colleges
Focus on improving learning habits, infrastructure, and teacher placement

The Sindh College Education Department has decided to introduce daily library sessions across all government colleges in the Hyderabad region to promote reading habits and academic engagement among students. The initiative aims to make library periods a regular part of the timetable, encouraging students to strengthen their comprehension and research skills.
Along with library classes, key reforms were approved to modernize curricula, improve attendance rates, and strengthen co-curricular activities to boost student participation. The department will also prioritize rehabilitation work in 12 colleges affected by rains, ensuring classrooms, laboratories, and boundary walls are fully functional.
These decisions were made during a high-level meeting chaired by Secretary College Education Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon, attended by DG Colleges Naveed Rabb Siddiqui, Regional Director Colleges Hyderabad Mustafa Kamal, and other senior officials.
