Prominent builder hauled away from Zamzama Street

Police clueless which department raided Javed Iqbal's office and where is he being kept

KARACHI:

A prominent builder was taken into custody during a late-night raid conducted by a sensitive agency on Tuesday in the upscale Zamzama Commercial Street area of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi.

CCTV footage of the incident, which has since surfaced, clearly shows two police mobiles and several personnel involved in the operation. The footage reveals both uniformed individuals-wearing clothing resembling police attire-and plainclothes officers. All personnel were masked and armed with sophisticated weapons.

The builder, identified as Javed Iqbal, was seen being detained from his office and taken to an undisclosed location.

However, the local police have denied any knowledge of the raid. According to police sources, efforts are underway to gather information regarding the operation.
