NBC is bringing Oz to television with Wicked: One Wonderful Night, a two-hour musical special headlined by Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

The event celebrates the world of Wicked ahead of the upcoming film sequel Wicked: For Good and gives fans an exclusive first look at new footage and performances.

Erivo and Grande will reprise their roles as Elphaba and Glinda, performing iconic numbers from the Wicked films alongside a 37-piece live orchestra led by original Broadway arranger and music director Stephen Oremus. The pre-recorded concert took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and will premiere on NBC on November 6, followed by streaming on Peacock on November 7.

The star-studded lineup also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, and Bowen Yang, who will all appear in Wicked: For Good. The special promises reimagined choreography from Christopher Scott and special appearances by composer Stephen Schwartz and director Jon M. Chu.

Fans can also expect never-before-seen clips from Wicked: For Good, including sneak peeks of two new songs written by Schwartz — “No Place Like Home” and “The Girl in the Bubble.”

Wicked: Part One was one of 2024’s biggest hits, grossing over $750 million worldwide and earning 10 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and acting nods for both Erivo and Grande.

With dazzling performances, fresh music, and glimpses of the next Wicked chapter, Wicked: One Wonderful Night is set to be a must-watch celebration for fans before Wicked: For Good hits theaters on November 21.
