Bread makers demand relief
President of the Rawalpindi Nan Bai Association, Shafique Qureshi, has urged the government and relevant authorities to take immediate measures to provide relief to tandoor owners by ensuring the availability of affordable flour and by controlling the rising prices of electricity, LPG, and gas load-shedding.
Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club on Tuesday, Qureshi said that the continuous increase in the prices of essential commodities, particularly wheat, had made it nearly impossible for naan sellers to sustain their businesses while maintaining the officially prescribed prices.
