PPP pushed pro-farmer wheat policy: Sharjeel
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the federal government's new wheat procurement mechanism is the outcome of the PPP consistent demand and principled stance on protecting farmers' rights.
In a statement, Memon said the PPP has always advocated for the agricultural sector, and the federal decision mirrors the party's pro-farmer vision. He termed the announcement of the wheat support price a major achievement, noting that no such measure was taken last year. He said the move will directly benefit growers, increase wheat production, save foreign exchange, and promote national self-sufficiency.
