Jennifer Lawrence recently shared a humorous and surprising story involving her Die, My Love co-star Robert Pattinson during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The Oscar-winning actress recalled an unexpected visit from Pattinson that ended with him unknowingly eating food she had pulled out of the garbage.
Lawrence explained that the incident happened during a cozy girls’ night at her home last December. “I had my girlfriends over. We were in our pajamas, watching Little Women,” she told Norton. Then she received a call from Pattinson, who had just finished filming nearby. Excited, she invited him over, joking that he’s “one of the girls” and loves to gossip.
The Hunger Games star admitted she feels oddly maternal toward Pattinson. “He’s a great father, he’s professional, shows up on time—but I wouldn’t trust that he put a coat on,” she said, referencing his daughter with fiancée Suki Waterhouse.
When Pattinson arrived, Lawrence said he immediately asked for food. She welcomed him in but quickly realized she had nothing readily available—except for some discarded leftovers in the trash. “He goes to the bathroom, and I’m just pulling food out of my garbage can,” she confessed. When Pattinson returned, unaware of the source, he began eating it.
Lawrence and her friends watched in disbelief. “He was like, ‘I’m still hungry. Is there more?’” she recalled. Still not revealing the truth, she eventually admitted the food was from the trash. Surprisingly, Pattinson didn’t mind. “He was like, ‘Oh, I don’t mind,’ and just kept eating it,” Lawrence said.
Graham Norton laughed at the story, calling Pattinson the “ideal house guest.”
Lawrence and Pattinson star together in Die, My Love, which hits theaters on November 7. The film centers on a couple struggling in rural America, with Lawrence playing a woman gradually losing her grip on reality.
