Two suspected TTP terrorists arrested

KARACHI:

Two alleged terrorists linked with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and several other suspects were arrested by the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and police in multiple operations conducted across the metropolis on Sunday.

According to an SIU spokesperson, an operation was carried out on intelligence about the presence of terrorists near Thado Nalo Bridge in Malir City. Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire, triggering retaliatory action.

In the ensuing exchange of fire, two terrorists were arrested in injured condition. They were identified as Khalid and Adil, both affiliated with the TTP, SSP SIU Amjad Ahmed Sheikh confirmed.
