Sadie Sink joins Tom Holland on Spider-Man: Brand New Day set

New photos from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day have surfaced online, giving fans their first glimpse of Stranger Things star Sadie Sink in the upcoming Marvel film.

Filming is currently taking place in Basingstoke, England, with Sink seen standing beside director Destin Daniel Cretton as Tom Holland suited up for an intense Spider-Man action sequence.

Although Sink’s full outfit was hidden under an overcoat, she appeared to be wearing camo pants and combat boots—hints that quickly fueled speculation about her character. Rumors have linked Sink to several roles, including Jean Grey, Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, and even Mayday Parker. However, early reports suggest she could be playing Frank Castle’s (Jon Bernthal) mysterious partner.

Marvel has kept Sink’s casting details under wraps, only revealing that she portrays a “sharp and free-spirited” woman with a “mysterious past.” Insiders hint that her role may come with a major twist, which could explain the conflicting reports circulating online.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton described the project as a fresh emotional take on the Spider-Man story, while Tom Holland called filming “different this time,” noting the excitement of having fans present on set.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day also stars Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, and Tramell Tillman in an undisclosed role. The movie is set to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026, following a slight delay in release.
