Afridi seeks IHC nod to meet Imran
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for a permission to meet PTI founder Imran Khan, who has been incarcerated at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail for over two years.
In his petition, Afridi has contended that consulting Imran on the formation of his cabinet and on sensitive governance matters is essential. Afridi took oath of office on Wednesday, replacing Ali Amin Gandapur, who was removed from the key position on the instruction of Imran.
Afridi gave special power of attorney to K-P Advocate General Shah Faisal, who, through Ali Bukhari, filed the petition in the IHC.
